PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® RELEASES NEW LINE OF
BACK-UP VIDEO CAMERA INTERFACE MODULES

Clearwater, FL (October 15, 2008) – Peripheral Electronics® - the industry leader in OEM integration technologies and innovation – is proud to announce the release of a new line of interface modules that allow factory-installed navigation radios in select GM, Nissan, Honda and Infinity vehicles to also act as back-up camera displays. The modules (the PVCI-NIS1, PVCI-HON2, PVCI-GM3 and PVCI-GM3A) are currently available for order and will be showcased by Peripheral at SEMA 2008 in November and CES in January of 2009.

All four modules (MSRP $449.99) were engineered to automatically convert the color display on a factory-installed navigation radio system into a video back up camera monitor when the vehicle is placed into reverse. The installation kit for each consists of a “brain box” that features two composite RCA video inputs and facilitates intelligent switching between normal radio/navigation operation, an auxiliary video source and a back up camera, as well as a plug-in harness that allows for quick, easy conversions. Because no cutting, splicing or soldering is necessary for installation, reverting back to the vehicle’s original configuration is simple.
PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® AUTOMOTIVE MEDIA GATEWAY
NOW COMPATIBLE WITH HONDA, ACURA & VOLKSWAGEN

Revolutionary technology integrates iPod™, HD Radio™ and other media devices directly into most Honda, Acura and VW car and SUVs

Clearwater, FL (July 15, 2008) – Peripheral Electronics® – the award-winning OEM Integration products division of AAMP of America™ – is pleased to announce the compatibility of its innovative Automotive Media Gateway for most late-model Honda, Acura and Volkswagen vehicles.

The recipient of a 2008 CES Innovations Award, the Media Gateway is an extraordinary OEM interface that integrates the iPod™, HD Radio™ and several other portable media products directly into a vehicle’s factory system via an easy-to-use plug-and-play interface. This eliminates the need to replace the factory radio and allows drivers to keep the look, feel and functionality of their original system – even with a factory-installed satellite radio, GPS or steering wheel stereo controls. Additionally, the PXAMG can also bring the power of HD Radio broadcasting to almost any factory system with the help of the Peripheral Electronics HD Radio Tuner (HDRT). Available separately, the HDRT gives users more channels and more content in exciting new formats with no subscription fees.

According to Ron Freeman, CEO of AAMP of America, “We are incredibly proud that the PXAMG is now compatible with three of the best-selling import brands on the market; Honda, Acura and Volkswagen. Right now, manufacturers are putting some incredibly advanced, high quality OEM systems in vehicles directly from the factory, and these three are no exception.”

“Because of this, more and more people are looking to expand their original system to incorporate today’s portable music players, navigation systems and media devices. The Peripheral Media Gateway gives them this opportunity at a value price point. That’s why we are 100% committed to making this technology available to as many dealers and end users as possible by expanding the number of makes and models the Media Gateway operates with.”

The Media Gateway itself comes pre-loaded with the programming required to work on most makes and models of vehicle. However, for proper compatibility a special harness is required depending on the type and year of automobile in which it is being installed. While most 2004-2008 Honda and Acura models can be installed using the PGHHD1 harness, Volkswagen installers will need to use the PGHVW1, PGHVW2 or PGHVW3 harness depending on the vehicle. Details and specific information regarding the PXAMG, interface harnesses, accessories and compatibility with particular makes and models is available via an easy-to-use online database located on the Peripheral Electronics website, www.peripheralelectronics.com.

PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® PCH8 BRINGS NEW DIMENSION TO CAR AUDIO

The eight-channel PCH8 Line Output Converter seamlessly integrates aftermarket amplifiers into factory car stereos, maintaining system integrity while significantly enhancing audio performance.

Clearwater, FL, February, 2008– Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM integration division, announced today that its powerful eight-channel PCH8 Line Output Converter (LOC) is now shipping. The PCH8 integrates aftermarket amplifiers into factory car stereos, maintaining system integrity while significantly enhancing audio performance.

The PCH8 works with factory multi-channel amplified systems. It accepts two, four, six, or eight amplified speaker level channels, and converts those channels to a high-quality pre-amp signal. Internal summing lets users group together selected channels, combining different frequencies into one full-range signal. This is extremely important to dealers, allowing them to install a new amplifier without replacing the factory head unit.

Other installer-friendly features include a 12-volt output and turn-on circuit. The circuit monitors speaker level signals and automatically turns on the converter when a signal is sensed. The 12-volt output can be used to turn on aftermarket amplifiers and processors. A connection jack also lets users add the optional subwoofer control included with every PCH8.

The new applications cover select 2007-08 GM trucks and SUV’s. These include numerous Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Saturn and Pontiac vehicles.

The PXAMG is the first interface ever to bring the iPod™, HD Radio™ broadcasting, and many other portable media products into the vehicle. It:

Keeps the Factory Radio Intact – Plug-and-play interface eliminates the need to replace the factory radio, maintaining the vehicle’s original look and feel.

Saves Time and Money – Cutting-edge technology and compact size provide huge advantages over buying and installing a new stereo with similar capabilities.

Retains Original Vehicle Features – Advanced capabilities retain OEM satellite radio, rear-seat entertainment or controls, and all safety and convenience features tied to the factory system.

Provides Multiple Entertainment Options – Additional auxiliary input connects MP3 players, satellite radio tuners, DVD players, navigation systems and other portable media to the vehicle.

Delivers Digital-Quality Audio – Direct connection to the factory radio ensures static-free, crystal-clear sound from the iPod and many other portable media devices.

Enables All iPod Features and Functions from the iPod and the Radio – iPod Interface displays information and provides iPod control from both the iPod and the radio.

Works with Multiple Applications – USB connection allows the PXAMG to be continually updated with downloadable firmware to work with the latest applications.

The PXAMG also brings the power of HD Radio broadcasting with the help of the Peripheral Electronics HD Radio Tuner (HDRT). Available separately, the HDRT gives users more channels, more content, in exciting new formats—all with no subscription fees.

Ron Freeman, CEO of AAMP of America, said the additional GM applications reflects Peripheral’s commitment to making the PXAMG available to more drivers.

“People are looking for something that expands their factory radio to include all the new technologies and portable media out there,” said Ron Freeman, CEO of AAMP of America. “The PXAMG gives you access to HD Radio and almost any portable device you can think of, without losing any features or functions. It’s one solution for thousands of vehicles—and millions of people.”

Both the PXAMG and HDRT will be on display at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV.
PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® ENDORSES HANDS-FREE CELL PHONE LEGISLATION

Expanded line of cell-site adaptors for Motorola and Parrot Bluetooth® Car Kits promote safer driving by seamlessly integrating hands-free cell phone use into late-model Ford and GM vehicles.

Clearwater, Fl., November 2007 – Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM Integration division, announced today its endorsement of the growing nationwide hands-free cell phone legislation. The company’s expanded line of cell-site adaptors for Motorola and Parrot Bluetooth® Car Kits help promote safer driving by seamlessly integrating hands-free cell phone use into late-model Ford and GM vehicles.

The endorsement comes as more states study the correlation between driver inattention and vehicle safety. Though generally few of these studies link cell phone use while driving to crashes, a majority of states have enacted laws to reduce talking on hand-held cell phones while driving.

The Peripheral Electronics cell-site adaptors include the MOT1000, PT3100 and PT3200. The MOT1000 works with the Motorola IHF1000 Car Kit, and the PT3100 and PT3200 work with Parrot 3000, 3100, 3200, 3300, 3400, and 3500 Car Kits. All three adaptors use either the Peripheral Electronics FCSS-1, FCSS-2, GMCSS-2 or GMCSS-3 vehicle-specific harnesses. Together, they are compatible with numerous 1998-07 Ford and 2000-07 GM vehicles.

The adaptors plug directly into the harnesses, providing an easy solution that connects Motorola or Parrot Bluetooth kits to the factory radio. The harnesses work with all amplified and non-amplified audio systems, and automatically mute the system when a call is sent or received. They also play conversations through the front speakers in digital-quality sound for an enhanced hands-free experience.

According to the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), five states plus the District of Columbia currently forbid hand-held cell phone use outright, while many more states have passed special restrictions banning certain parties from driving with hand-held cell phones. In still other states, local ordinances carry these restrictions.

The Peripheral Electronics adaptors eliminate the need to use handheld cell phones while driving, addressing concern that safe and effective driving requires complete attention to the road. In a statement released by the GHSA, Chairman Chris Murphy said, “All drivers, but particularly teens, need to focus solely on driving—and that means the [hands-free] cell phone needs to be off.”

Used with the Peripheral Electronics Automotive Media Gateway, the direct control HD Radio Tuner (HDRT) provides factory stereos with unsurpassed audio quality, expanded radio content and subscription-free HD Radio™ programming.

Clearwater, Fl., November 2007 – Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM Integration division, announced today it is now shipping its direct control HD Radio Tuner (HDRT) for numerous late-model Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. The HDRT seamlessly integrates HD Radio™ technology into the factory stereo, providing unsurpassed audio quality, expanded radio content and free HD Radio programming.

The HDRT requires the Peripheral Electronics Automotive Media Gateway (PXAMG). It plugs directly into the Gateway and works with select 2005-08 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models—including the Expedition, Explorer, F-150, Mariner, MKX, Mountaineer, Mustang, Navigator and Taurus.

The HDRT receives analog and digital HD Radio stations, and provides complete control of AM and FM tuning through the factory radio. Users enjoy crystal-clear AM and FM reception and expanded content with exciting new formats—all with no subscription fees. HD Radio information is displayed on the radio screen, along with the artist and song when broadcast.

“With CD-quality music, alternative programming and no monthly bills, HD Radio takes radio broadcasting to a whole new level,” said Ron Freeman, COO of AAMP of America. “Together with the Gateway, our HD Radio Tuner brings this cutting-edge technology to select vehicles that don’t have it—without disrupting the integrity of the factory stereo.”

The Gateway integrates the iPod™ and USB devices into factory audio systems, and provides an extra auxiliary input for many portable media electronics—from navigation and game systems to satellite radio tuners and DVD players. Unlike many other integration solutions, the Gateway retains OEM satellite radio, rear-seat entertainment controls and key driver convenience features for a seamless user experience.

“The Gateway will eventually cover over 1,200 applications,” said Freeman, “and the HDRT will work with all of these. That means countless new vehicles with significantly more listening options and exceptional sound quality. When it comes to top-notch OEM Integration Solutions, the HDRT is a must-have piece.”

Revolutionary PXAMG OEM Integration Solution seamlessly integrates iPod™, HD Radio™ technology and many other portable media products into the factory audio system—without losing any of the factory features and controls.

Clearwater, Fl., October 2007 – Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM Integration division, announced today it is now shipping the first-ever Automotive Media Gateway for numerous late-model Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. The revolutionary PXAMG OEM Integration Solution seamlessly integrates iPod™, HD Radio™ technology, USB devices and many other portable media products into the factory audio system—without losing any of the factory features and controls.

The first of over 1,200 vehicle applications for the Gateway, this initial launch covers select 2005-08 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models—including the Expedition, Explorer, F-150, Mariner, MKX, Mountaineer, Mustang, Navigator and Taurus.

Using a separate vehicle-specific harness, the Gateway plugs directly into the factory radio and provides iPod connectivity as well as HD Radio integration through the Peripheral Electronics HD Radio Tuner (HDRT). Unlike many integration solutions, the PXAMG retains OEM satellite radio, rear-seat entertainment controls and key driver convenience features to deliver a seamless user experience.

In addition, the Gateway’s extra auxiliary input supports many other portable electronics. This includes everything from navigation and game systems to satellite radio tuners and DVD players—making the Gateway a central hub for multiple portable technologies.

Specifically, the Gateway iPod Interface works with the iPhone and all iPod versions that use the standard 30-pin dock connector. It provides dual iPod control from either the clickwheel or the factory radio, allowing users to track forward and back for songs and browse by artist, playlist, genre, and album. If controlled from the radio, this information is displayed on the radio screen for easy navigation.

The HDRT is available separately and plugs into the Gateway. It receives analog and digital HD Radio stations and provides complete control of AM and FM tuning through the factory radio. Along with no subscription fees, users enjoy crystal-clear AM and FM reception and expanded content with exciting new formats. The HDRT displays all HD Radio information on the radio screen, as well as the artist and song when broadcast.

The result is a single interface that speaks directly to those consumers whose on-the-go lifestyle is driven by the growing number of portable electronics devices. With the Gateway, consumers finally have the one product they need to connect those and future devices to an automobile’s media system without impacting its network integrity, performance and capabilities.

“We’ve been developing the Gateway for almost a year,” said Ron Freeman, COO of AAMP of America. “What we’ve ended up with is the ultimate OEM Integration Solution—a single-SKU platform that integrates all kinds of portable electronics into thousands of vehicles. Nothing else comes close to customizing the mobile entertainment experience like the Gateway.”

PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® RELEASES POWERFUL OEM INTEGRATION SOLUTION TO UPGRADE FACTORY AMPLIFIERS

http://aampofamerica.com/web/press/press_details_peripheral.asp?ID=

The eight-channel PCH8 Line Output Converter seamlessly integrates aftermarket amplifiers into factory car stereos, maintaining system integrity while significantly enhancing audio performance.

Clearwater, FL, June, 2007 – Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM integration division, announced today the release of its powerful new OEM Integration solution for aftermarket amplifiers. The eight-channel PCH8 Line Output Converter (LOC) seamlessly integrates aftermarket amplifiers into factory car stereos, maintaining system integrity while significantly enhancing audio performance.

The PCH8 is now shipping.

With the PCH8, Peripheral Electronics adds another important piece to its industry-best line of OEM integration products. For more information about the PCH8, please visit www.peripheralelectronics.com or call a Peripheral Electronics sales representative at 727-572-9255.

Clearwater, Fl., August 2007 – Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM Integration division, announced today its full line of radio replacement interfaces for thousands of vehicles. These comprehensive OEM Integration Add-a-Head Solutions allow owners to replace their factory stereo without impacting any network audio and car-safety features.

The solutions include the CHYAH05, CHYRAP, GMAHLAN, GMAHLANB, GMCOL11, GMCOL29, GMAHSC, GMAH24, GMAH24B, GMAH32, GMAHCM, GMCO, GMCO2, GMCO3, GMOS1, and GMOS21B interfaces.

Currently, the solutions cover select Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, GMC, Hummer, Jeep, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Saturn vehicles. Future plans for Audi, Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, Toyota and Volkswagen interfaces are already in the works.

Removing the factory stereo in many new vehicles can disrupt important features controlled by the vehicle’s computerized network system. Depending on the vehicle make and model, these features can include warning chimes, audible turn signal indicators, and retained power to vehicle accessories. In some vehicles, removing the factory stereo also disables sophisticated cautionary features like rear-hazard assistance.

Peripheral Electronics’ add-a-head solutions keep all the network features intact when the factory radio is replaced. Certain interfaces even work seamlessly with the full line of Bose™ amplified and OnStar™ factory systems, automatically muting the aftermarket stereo when OnStar is being used. The interfaces also integrate with any aftermarket audio system, from simple CD players to more elaborate systems with DVD players, navigational capability, and flip-out video screens.

As vehicle networks and aftermarket audio systems become more complex, demand grows for a way to connect the two—without losing any vehicle functionality or advanced safety features. With its comprehensive OEM Integration Add-a-Head Solutions, Peripheral Electronics stakes its claim as the leader in radio replacement integration.

COMPLETE LINE OF PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® INTERFACES RETAINS STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS WHEN ADDING AFTERMARKET RADIOS INTO MOST VEHICLES

http://aampofamerica.com/web/press/press_details_peripheral.asp?ID=

Broad applications for PESWIAKJC, PESWICAN, PESWIECL, PESWIPS, and PESWIX allow for numerous OEM Integration solutions and minimize dealer SKU’s.

Clearwater, Fl., July, 2007 – Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM integration division, announced today its complete PESWI line of steering wheel control interfaces for aftermarket radios. The interfaces let owners of most vehicles with steering wheel controls retain those controls when replacing their factory head unit.

The complete PESWI line includes the PESWIAKJC, PESWICAN, PESWIECL, PESWIPS, and PESWIX interfaces. The interfaces integrate aftermarket Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Eclipse, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony head units into countless vehicles. These vehicles include select Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda/Acura, Mazda, Nissan, Saturn, Toyota, and Volkswagen models—to name just a few.

Without the PESWI interfaces, installing an aftermarket stereo in vehicles with factory steering wheel controls sacrifices the stereo’s volume, tuning, and other steering wheel controls. As a result, customers lose the safety and convenience of controlling their stereo from the steering wheel.

PESWIAKJC, PESWICAN, PESWIECL, PESWIPS, and PESWIX solve this problem by interfacing with compatible aftermarket receivers with a wired remote control input. The interfaces even retain the heater and A/C controls on all equipped GM vehicles.

For dealers, step-by-step programming and LED confirmation make the interfaces simple to install. And with its broad applications, the interfaces significantly minimize the number of SKU’s dealers have to stock. The PESWI interfaces can also be paired with Peripheral Electronics’ full line of radio replacement interfaces—giving dealers numerous one-stop solutions for seamless aftermarket radio installs.

With the PESWI steering wheel control interfaces, Peripheral Electronics adds another important piece to its industry-best line of OEM Integration products.
GMCOL11 and GMCOL29 work with Peripheral Electronics® PESWI steering wheel control interfaces to retain all audio functions and key vehicle-safety features controlled by the system.

Clearwater, Florida, July 2007 – Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP of America’s innovative OEM Integration division, announced today the release of two new OEM Integration solutions for numerous late-model GM vehicles. The solutions provide seamless radio replacement interfacing for 2006-2007 vehicles without OnStar®, allowing owners to replace their factory head unit without losing any of the audio and safety functions of the factory system.

The solutions include the GMCOL11 and GMCOL29 interfaces. Together, they cover 2006-2007 Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Pontiac, and Saturn vehicles.

Both the GMCOL11 and GMCOL29 retain all audio functions and key vehicle-safety features controlled by the factory system. These features include Retained Accessory Power (RAP), Vehicle Parking Assist (VPA), audible turn signals, and all factory seatbelt, key-in, and headlight warning chimes. The GMCOL11 and GMCOL29 even retain the rear seat audio controls.

Compatible with amplified and non-amplified systems, the GMCOL11 and GMCOL29 work with Peripheral Electronics’ PESWI steering wheel control interfaces for aftermarket Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, and many other radios. These interfaces maintain the convenience of factory steering wheel controls when upgrading the factory radio with an aftermarket radio.

The GMCOL11 and GMCOL29 are the perfect complement to Peripheral Electronics’ full line of GMAH radio replacement interfaces. Together, the interfaces cover nearly all late-model GM vehicles with and without OnStar.

Today’s sophisticated vehicles have made it increasingly difficult for owners to change their factory stereo without disrupting the integrity of their factory entertainment system. Used with the PESWI interfaces, the GMCOL11 and GMCOL29 provide two more complete OEM Integration solutions for many popular late-model GM vehicles.
