AAMP OF AMERICA™ WINS 2009 CES INNOVATIONS AWARD

Clearwater, FL (January 7, 2008) – AAMP of America™ – the world-class innovator in automobile electronics design, development, and distribution – is proud to announce that it has received a 2009 CES Innovations Award for its revolutionary iSimple® WiFli (IRDS). The WiFli is a plug-and-play automotive iPod/iPhone interface that offers wireless, CD-style track control of an iPod or iPhone from any FM radio, as well as song and artist information displayed on headunits that support Radio Data System (RDS) reception.

The iSimple WiFli kit consists of a wireless remote control with a quick-set steering wheel cradle and a dongle-style “bug” that jacks directly into your iPod or iPhone. Once connected, the WiFli transmits a digital RDS FM radio signal to the car stereo, resulting in sound quality superior to that of standard FM modulators. Even better, the iSimple WiFli also transmits iPod/iPhone track data to the radio, meaning that car radios equipped with RDS technology will display song title and artist information right on the radio’s display and allow users to enjoy a degree of library browsing from the wireless remote. The iSimple WiFli remote clips easily to almost any steering wheel and provides convenient one-button, CD-style control of the iPod or iPhone.

Sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the CES Innovations Award recognizes the most impressive consumer electronics products in 32 categories. Innovations Award Winners are selected by an independent panel of industry specialists for exceptional product and engineering design.

According to Eric LeClerc, a product developer for AAMP of America and designer of the WiFli, “We created the iSimple WiFli with two things in mind: convenience and safety. As a plug-and-play iPod solution, the WiFli is incredibly easy to use and portable so you can take it anywhere you take your iPod or iPhone. As for safety, we’ve put one-touch control of your iPod right on your steering wheel. This drastically reduces driver distraction, but provides the freedom to change tracks quickly and easily even when in traffic. I’m incredibly excited that the WiFli was selected as a CES Innovations Award winner and I’m eager to see people’s reaction to it at CES.”

About iSimple:
AAMP OF AMERICA™ BRINGS UNPRECEDENTED STINGER® MERCHANDISING AND PERIPHERAL ELECTRONICS® OEM INTEGRATION SOLUTIONS TO 2008 MERA KNOWLEDGEFEST

Improving dealer and retailer profitability takes center stage with solutions that improve sell-through and maximize store revenues.

Clearwater, Fl., March 2008 – AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today it will bring its unprecedented array of 2008 Stinger® merchandising and Peripheral Electronics® OEM Integration solutions to this year’s MERA KnowledgeFest in Louisville, Kentucky on March 15th-18th.

According to Ron Freeman, CEO of AAMP of America, the solutions are specifically designed to improve sell-through and maximize store revenues.

“Today’s retail challenges are harder than ever,” said Freeman. “Our dealers and retailers need a company that understands these challenges and gives them the means to overcome them. We’ve got more solutions than ever before, and they’re all in stock and ready to ship.”

Stinger – Merchandising for Maximum Profit
Special MERA pricing will be available on Stinger merchandising solutions for the 2008 PRO and HPM lines. With stunning aesthetic and functional improvements, these lines reflect the most powerful and extensive Stinger items ever developed.

The merchandising solutions start with Planogram packages for PRO and HPM interconnects, power distribution, wiring kits and capacitors as well as Stinger RoadKill Sound Damping. Sound Quest™ Planograms will also be available.

First introduced by AAMP of America, these Planograms feature compact, uniform packaging that pieces together neatly and fits more products into less space—all while delivering huge discounts at a bundled price. Dealers can purchase pre-set Planograms or create their own package to fit their specific business needs.

Along with the Planograms, brand-new Stinger product displays, signage, point-of-purchase materials, dealer and consumer brochures, and other collateral will be at this year’s KnowledgeFest.

“These days, superior merchandising is critical to increasing any store’s bottom line,” said Freeman. “Not only do our Stinger merchandising solutions make your store look better, they also show consumers the value of buying Stinger products.”

Peripheral Electronics – Pioneering OEM Integration
With over 13,000 OEM Integration solutions to date, Peripheral Electronics arrives at KnowledgeFest with the latest technologies to keep dealers and retailers competitive in a constantly changing marketplace. Several key technologies will be at the show, including Peripheral’s industry-best line of radio replacement interfaces and the revolutionary PXAMG Automotive Media Gateway.

Recipient of a 2008 CES Innovations Award, the PXAMG is the first interface ever to bring the iPod™, HD Radio™ broadcasting and many other portable media products into the vehicle. Unlike many integration solutions, it retains OEM satellite radio, rear-seat entertainment controls and important driver convenience features to deliver a seamless user experience.

The PXAMG provides HD Radio broadcasting with the Peripheral Electronics HD Radio Tuner (HDRT). This separate add on-on brings the power of HD Radio—including significantly more content, crystal-clear sound and no subscription fees—to vehicles that don’t have it.

“One of our primary goals at KnowledgeFest is to help educate our customers on our Automotive Gateway and how it works with the HDRT,” said Freeman. “Together, the pieces represent a huge victory for mobile electronics dealers and retailers, and KnowledgeFest is a great opportunity for us to teach our customers how to sell them.”

In addition to booth demonstrations, the PXAMG and HDRT will be the subject of a Peripheral Electronics manufacturer’s training seminar sponsored by iBiquity and HD Radio. Held on Sunday, March 16th from 5:00-6:30 PM in Room L5, the seminar will focus on the HDRT’s direct HD Radio connection to the factory radio through the PXAMG—the only connection of its kind. Dealers and retailers will also learn how to connect the HDRT and an iPod to Ford, GM, Toyota and Honda vehicles using the PXAMG.

Peripheral Electronics will also participate in a panel on March 17th from 11:00-12:00 AM in Rooms L10 and L11. Entitled “Getting Your Customer Plugged In,” the panel includes representatives from JL Audio and Rockford Fosgate and will educate customers about the best-practices of selling OEM Integration solutions.

“We’ve been one of the key manufacturer’s at MERA since it’s inception,” said Freeman. “KnowledgeFest is the best opportunity we have to show the dealers and retailers how to be more profitable—and to provide them with the ongoing education they need to capture new business at every turn.”

AAMP of America will be located at Booth #114 in the Kentucky International Convention Center.
AAMP OF AMERICA™ APPOINTS RON FREEMAN NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO

In first weeks at the helm, former AAMP COO discusses responsibility to dealers for increased education and need for critical tools and solutions to improve customer profitability.

Clearwater, Fl., December, 2007 – AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today the appointment of Ron Freeman as its new President and CEO. Freeman replaces AAMP founder and former CEO Micah Ansley, who will remain with the company as Chairman of the Board.

Freeman takes over as CEO for the company’s premier Peripheral Electronics®, Stinger®, Best Kits and Harnesses™, Sound Quest™ and AAMP Home® brands. He brings over sixteen years of experience with the company as Director of Purchasing, Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer (COO).

“Micah’s support over the years has been unwavering,” said Freeman. “I congratulate him on his twenty years of strong leadership, and for a standard of excellence that has paved the way for future growth.”

Getting Started – Renewed Initiative to Make Customers More Competitive
In just two weeks as CEO, Freeman is already promoting a renewed company-wide initiative to bring more value to its core customers across all lines of the company. Indeed, fresh off the heels of its first-ever “Rep Training Camp,” Freeman cited the critical need for more tools to improve customer profitability.

Specifically, Freeman pointed to the responsibility of companies like AAMP of America to provide dealers with ongoing education, allowing dealers to capture new opportunities at every turn. He said the company is committed to adding the necessary resources to make its customers’ businesses more viable in a constantly changing marketplace.

“The dealers and small retailers are looking for ways to be more profitable, and it’s our job to show them how,” said Freeman. “This means educating them on the latest technologies, and bringing them the solutions to stay competitive. In the end, our goal is to help them embrace and sell these technologies—and to prepare them for newer ones as they emerge.”

Freeman indicated that AAMP of America will continue to promote its industry-best line of Peripheral Electronics OEM Integration and Stinger merchandising solutions.

“For our customers to reap the full benefits of OEM Integration, the solutions themselves must anticipate future mobile technologies while seamlessly connecting current portable media—iPods and MP3 players, Bluetooth-enabled phones, laptops and gaming systems—to the factory stereo,” said Freeman.

“As for merchandising, we’re finding that our specialty stores need it most. Real solutions that make their store look better, that entice the consumer inside and show them the value of buying our products. These days, superior merchandising is critical to improving sell-through and increasing any store’s bottom line.”

2008 CES – Comprehensive Solutions for Today’s Retail Challenges
Freeman commented that this year’s CES will be unlike any previous year for AAMP of America. “We’re prepared to take the industry by storm,” he said. “We’ve spent the entire year bringing an unprecedented array of solutions to market. And they’ll all be at the 2008 CES—in stock and ready to ship.”

In addition to its brand-new 2008 PRO and HPM lines, Stinger has developed a comprehensive merchandising program that includes new retail Planograms, product displays, signage and point-of-purchase materials, packaging, and a full line of dealer and consumer brochures and other collateral.

Peripheral Electronics will also debut multiple OEM Integration solutions, including the first-ever Automotive Media Gateway. The Gateway seamlessly integrates iPod™, USB devices and many other portable media products into the factory audio system—without losing any of the factory features and controls. It also integrates HD Radio™ technology with the addition of the Peripheral Electronics HD Radio Tuner.

“From a development standpoint, we’ve never had so much to show at CES,” said Freeman. “These aren’t just products, they’re solutions. Today’s retail challenges are harder than ever, and to stay competitive our customers need a company that understands these challenges and gives them the means to overcome them.”

Freeman encouraged all AAMP of America customers at CES to visit them at Booth #5218.

“CES is a great opportunity to showcase everything we’ve put together for 2008. We can’t wait to pull back the curtain and roll out this unprecedented lineup of solutions. In the end, we have one simple goal: to open new sales channels for our customers and maximize their revenues. CES is where all of that begins.”

FIRST-EVER AAMP OF AMERICA™ “REP TRAINING CAMP” A HUGE SUCCESS

Runup to 2008 International CES provides intensive education on profitable retail solutions from premier Stinger®, Peripheral Electronics® and AAMP Home® Brands.

Clearwater, Fl., December 2007 – AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today the success of its first-ever “Rep Training Camp.”

Held on November 9th and 10th at the Hilton at Carillon in St. Petersburg, FL, the training camp included a number of AAMP of America outside sales reps from around the country. It provided intensive education on profitable retail solutions for AAMP customers from the company’s premier Stinger®, Peripheral Electronics® and AAMP Home® brands.

The sales reps were treated to a full day of presentations by members of AAMP’s internal sales, research and development, product development and marketing teams.

Peripheral Electronics focused on the history of in-vehicle integration before covering its industry-best line of OEM Integration solutions. These included the brand-new Automotive Media Gateway, a plug-and-play interface that integrates iPod™, HD Radio™ technology, USB devices and many other portable media products into the factory audio system—without losing any of the factory features and controls.

Also shown were Stinger’s completely redesigned PRO and HPM lines and first-of-its-kind merchandising program. Complete with new retail Planograms, product displays, signage, packaging, point-of-purchase materials, and brochures and other collateral, this extensive program gives 12Volt specialists the tools they need to stay competitive in today’s challenging retail environment.

In addition, sales reps got a close look at AAMP Home’s growing line of in-wall wire, adaptors, wall plates, HDMI switchers, compression ends and other items for the custom home installer. The reps also appreciated newer AAMP Home products like the ZON Audio Music Distribution System and Easy RJ45 ends for CAT5 and CAT6 wire.

“These days, our dealers have more to compete with than ever before,” said Sergio DeOliveira, Senior VP of Sales for AAMP of America. “To stay competitive, they need an industry partner that anticipates the trends and develops solutions for their retail challenges. Our Rep Training Camp was a necessary first step in keeping our outside sales team educated about these challenges, and in showing them exactly how our solutions stand alone.”

The response from the reps was overwhelmingly positive. Jon Ash of Pacific Coast Marketing said, “The meeting was one of the best I’ve attended. It had great energy, kept everyone involved and was truly motivating. Best of all, the Rep Training Camp gave us a chance to see AAMP’s comprehensive product lines for 2008—products that can create tremendous profit opportunities for dealers.”

Ron Freeman, CEO of AAMP of America, said that the training camp served as a great runup to the 2008 International CES. He encouraged all AAMP of America customers that attend CES to visit them at Booth #5218.

“Everything we’ll have at CES is in stock and ready to ship,” said Freeman. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase everything we’ve put together for 2008—to pull back the curtain and roll out an unprecedented lineup of solutions. In the end, we have one simple goal: to open new sales channels for our customers and maximize their revenues. CES is where all of that begins.”

AAMP OF AMERICA™ FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER MICAH ANSLEY ASSUMES NEW POSITION AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Former Chief Operating Officer Ron Freeman brings almost thirty years of industry experience to new job as AAMP’s CEO.

Clearwater, Fl., November, 2007 - AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today that Micah Ansley has stepped down after twenty years as the company’s founder, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ansley will remain with the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and former Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ron Freeman will become AAMP’s new CEO.

Starting as a regional distributor in 1987, AAMP of America quickly opened additional facilities in Missouri and Nevada. With a strict focus on customer service, the company produced huge sales in the early 1990’s, reaching number thirty-three on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing, privately-held companies in 1992 and again in 1993

.

Just as significant, in 1990 AAMP introduced its Stinger line and began manufacturing its own high-performance car audio accessories for the specialist market. It also developed its own brand of radio replacement dash kits, Best Kits and Harnesses™—leveraging its experience as the largest major kit distributor in the U.S.

“Our salespeople understood kits better than anybody, including the manufacturers,” said Ansley. “So making our own kits was a natural transition for us. Our goal was the same then as it is today: less SKU’s, more coverage, shorter install time, and a better-looking completed install. Today, we’re the go-to company when it comes to kit selection and service.”

Also in the mid-1990’s, AAMP purchased the first OEM Integration company, Peripheral Electronics®, to begin developing products that interfaced aftermarket and other components with factory systems. Again growth was strong, a trend that continues today with over 750 current solutions that include interfaces for iPod and MP3 players, game systems and Bluetooth phones.

AAMP eventually added its Sound Quest™ brand of high-quality and inexpensive wiring, power management and lighting products, as well as AAMP Home® for the custom home installer. With double-digit growth over the past year, AAMP Home is already establishing itself as the premier provider of commodity items and accessories for the custom home entertainment market.

“We’ve been around for two decades,” said Ansley, “and we’re still growing. One of the biggest keys to our success is the seventeen year average tenure of our sales staff. That’s unheard of in our industry—in any industry—and it’s definitely given us an edge. Our philosophy at AAMP is simple: provide the best products at the best prices with the best customer service.”

“Though the industry has changed dramatically in recent years, AAMP has never been better positioned for the future,” Ansley added. “Stinger’s completely redesigned PRO and HPM lines, as well as its brand-new literature and merchandising solutions, join revolutionary new OEM Integration solutions from Peripheral. The 2008 AAMP and AAMP Home catalogs are also available, with the Peripheral and Stinger catalogs coming soon. In addition, we’ve got aggressive new programs with special pricing for dealers.”

A twenty-eight year veteran of the industry, Freeman takes over as AAMP’s CEO after spending sixteen years with the company as a buyer, Vice President of Operations (VPO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). During his time as COO, Freeman oversaw the daily operations of all of AAMP’s Peripheral Electronics, Stinger, Best Kits and Harnesses, Sound Quest and AAMP Home brands.

Ansley indicated it was more than Freeman’s experience that made him the natural choice for AAMP’s new CEO. “His passion for the industry, his intimate familiarity with our customers, his keen insight into every aspect of our business—that’s what Ron has that no one else does,” said Ansley. “His leadership is critical as we continue to develop winning strategies that put our customers first.”

Ansley also extended his sincere thanks for the opportunity to serve the industry as AAMP’s President and CEO for the last twenty years—and his excitement about his new role as Chairman of the Board.

“I’m proud of what AAMP has accomplished,” said Ansley, “and grateful to our many customers for their loyalty, support and friendship. I look forward to our future initiatives, and to the challenges ahead as we continue to search for new ways to bring value to our customers.”

Clearwater, Fl., October, 2007 – AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class automobile electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today it will exhibit at the upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV. The company will showcase its brand-new Peripheral Electronics® Automotive Multimedia Gateway and Stinger® PRO and HPM lines—as well as key merchandising and other popular OEM Integration solutions.

This year’s SEMA is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 30th to November 2nd. AAMP of America will be located in the North Hall at Booth #10026.

Peripheral Electronics will dedicate several displays to its first-ever PXAMG Automotive Multimedia Gateway for numerous late-model Ford, GM and Toyota vehicles. The Gateway seamlessly integrates iPod™, HD Radio™, USB devices and many other portable media products into the factory audio system—without losing any of the factory features and controls.

The Gateway plugs into the factory radio and provides dual iPod control from either the clickwheel or the factory radio. It works with the iPhone and all iPod versions that use the standard 30-pin dock connector, allowing users to track forward and back for songs and browse by artist, playlist, genre and album.

Unlike many integration solutions, the Gateway retains OEM satellite radio, rear-seat entertainment controls and key driver convenience features for a seamless user experience. An extra auxiliary input supports many other portable electronics, from navigation and game systems to satellite radio tuners and DVD players.

Peripheral Electronics will also show its separate HD Radio Tuner (HDRT) at this year’s SEMA. The HDRT plugs into the Gateway and receives analog and digital HD Radio stations, as well as provides complete control of AM and FM tuning through the factory radio. Users enjoy crystal-clear AM and FM reception and expanded content with exciting new formats—all with no subscription fees.

Other Peripheral Electronics products at SEMA include its full line of steering wheel control and radio replacement interfaces for many late-model vehicles with Bose™ and OnStar™. New Parrot and Motorola Bluetooth® Car Kits will also be featured, along with the new database-driven, dealer-friendly Peripheral website.

Stinger will unveil its entirely redesigned PRO and HPM interconnects, batteries, power wire, and fuse holders and distributors. With stunning aesthetic and technological modifications, these lines reflect the most powerful and extensive Stinger products ever developed.

This year’s PRO products include Gold and ShocKrome finishes with a rounded look, while HPM provides sharp angular housing, exclusive digital features and a sophisticated matte satin-chrome finish. Important functional improvements have also been made to both lines—including deeper wire recesses, larger set screws and more robust fuse clamping.

Many new merchandising solutions will also be shown at SEMA. With both preconfigured and smaller module packages, Stinger’s retail Planograms allow dealers to maximize their wall space with a mix of products that fits their exact business needs. A variety of Planograms will be on display, each with POP header signage.

Stinger’s slat-wall and freestanding wire racks and freestanding battery racks will also make their debut at SEMA. In addition, visitors will have a chance to see the new PRO and HPM packaging, designed to strengthen brand recognition and make every product more distinguishable. All the packaging comes in compact, uniform sizes that fit neatly on slat walls and allow for countless arrangements.

AAMP of America will have a demo area set up for its brand-new StreetEagle™ Vehicle Tracking Solution (VTS). StreetEagle features 24/7 real-time monitoring and protection with comprehensive driver status reports and critical safety and convenience features. AAMP’s full line of Exonic products will make the show as well, offering a glimpse of AAMP’s broad selection of mobile audio and video items. 2008 product catalogs for AAMP of America, Peripheral Electronics, and Stinger will also be available.

“At the end of the day, it’s all about creating new opportunities for our customers to build value,” said Ron Freeman, COO of AAMP of America. “For this year’s SEMA, we’ve gone all out. The Automotive Gateway provides a single-SKU solution for integrating multiple portable media products into thousands of vehicles. As for Stinger, our merchandising solutions and revamped PRO and HPM lines are literally second to none. Top to bottom, the breadth and innovation of our 2008 lineup is unprecedented.”

AAMP OF AMERICA™ RELEASES ADVANCED GPS VEHICLE TRACKING SOLUTION FOR 12-VOLT DEALERS

StreetEagle™ 24/7 real-time monitoring and protection introduces new sales channel with comprehensive driver status reports and invaluable safety and convenience features.

Clearwater, Fl., June, 2007 – AAMP of America™, innovator in world-class electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today the release of its StreetEagle™ advanced GPS Vehicle Tracking Solution (VTS). The StreetEagle VTS delivers 24/7 real-time monitoring and protection with comprehensive driver status reports and critical safety and convenience features—introducing a tremendous new sales channel for dealers looking to grow their business.

StreetEagle includes a tracking unit, power cable, and GPS antenna. Hands-free vehicle status and location updates automatically report a vehicle’s location at intervals up to two minutes for exceptional security surveillance. Users can choose from three levels of service—Basic, Standard, and Advanced—eliminating hidden fees and expensive a la carte menus that charge for each additional feature.

With StreetEagle, state-of-the-art reporting tools provide complete vehicle location and activity histories for parents of teenagers who want to track their children on the road. The reports chart their exact speed, routes, and parking time, while StreetEagle’s important security and convenience features help keep them safer and more responsible in the car.

These features include easy-to-use settings that allow parents to configure the StreetEagle to send instant email or text-message alerts whenever their child’s vehicle moves at unauthorized times or exceeds certain speeds. These alerts also warn parents when the vehicle alarm has been triggered or the vehicle enters and leaves a preconfigured area. Doors can also be locked and unlocked remotely, and ignitions immobilized to prevent theft.

By encouraging safer, better driving, StreetEagle Instant Alerts help assure parents when their teenagers are using the car. Of course, teenagers are also less likely to get speeding tickets, suffer break-ins, and lock their keys in the car.

StreetEagle also benefits small plumbing, electrical, delivery, and other service companies that visit numerous job sites every day. Employers can get drivers to their destinations faster by thoroughly monitoring vehicle use—resulting in more on-time site visits, fewer missed deliveries, better job-time management, less customer complaints, and lower fuel and maintenance costs.

“The StreetEagle is an incredible opportunity for 12-Volt dealers to get in on the ground floor of an awesome piece of technology,” said Ron Freeman, COO of AAMP of America. “It’s a great security and safety tool for parents with teenagers—or anyone, for that matter. And with its easy-to-use tracking system and in-depth management reports, it can help make neighborhood service businesses more efficient and ultimately more profitable.”

Important addition alongside best-selling PRO wire features advanced PVC jacket and tighter rope lay for maximum current transfer to sophisticated, high-amperage systems.

Clearwater, Fl., July 2007 – Stinger®, AAMP of America’s high performance car audio accessories division, announced today that its full line of HPM Premium Power Wire is now shipping. This important addition alongside Stinger’s best-selling PRO wire features an advanced PVC jacket and tighter rope lay for maximum current transfer to sophisticated, high-amperage systems.

The complete HPM Premium Power Wire line includes translucent Matte Blue, Matte Gray, and Matte Clear 1/0 gauge (SHW10B, SHW10G, and SHW10C), 4 gauge (SHW14B, SHW14G, and SHW14C), and 8 gauge (SHW18B, SHW18G, and SHW18C) wire. All of the wire is available in varying lengths.

Unlike companies that use aluminum cables, copper-clad aluminum cables (CCA), or under-gauge wire, Stinger HPM Premium Power Wire is made of True-Spec™ tinned Oxygen-free Copper with a 70% higher twist rate than most other similar-gauge wire. The hyper-twist design boasts tighter reverse-lay construction and the most copper per square inch of any Stinger cable to date. The result is remarkable flexibility, reduced resistance and superb conductivity for high-powered car audio systems.

The high strand count and reverse lay construction make the HPM Premium Power Wire extremely flexible, allowing for tighter install turns, while the smooth matte finish of the PVC jacket slides easily during installation. This jacket is heat, oil, and chemical-resistant, protecting the wire from the harshest automotive environments.

The MSRP of the HPM Premium Power Wire ranges from $1.00/foot to $6.50/foot. The wire is now shipping.

With the new HPM Premium Power Wire, Stinger once again shows its strong commitment to developing the world’s best high-performance car audio accessories.
AAMP OF AMERICA HOME® DIVISION NOW SHIPPING NEW COMPRESSION END STARTER KIT FOR CUSTOM HOME INSTALLER

DB Starter Kit combines the most complete assortment of tools and connectors for security and structured wiring installations, saving valuable install time and making for stronger, more reliable connections.

Clearwater, Fl., July 2007 – AAMP of America Home®, the high-performance home audio and video accessories division for AAMP of America™, announced today that its new compression end starter kit for the custom home installer is now shipping. The DB Starter Kit combines the most complete assortment of tools and connectors for security and structured wiring installations, saving valuable install time and making for stronger, more reliable connections.

Along with a Fit Tool (FIT-59) and Strip Tool (PSA59/6), the DB Starter Kit includes the CablePro Radial Bubble Compression Tool (CPLCRBC) for use with the specialty Double Bubble (DB) F, RCA, BNC, and hard-to-find Plenum wire connectors. These connectors include the DB6U, DB59U, DB59RCAU, DB6BNCU, DB59BNCU, and DB59BNCPL4.

Ideal for installing outdoor electronics like security cameras, the DB Starter Kit connectors provide superior moisture leakage protection for improved signals. In addition, the compression tool works with standard F, RCA, and BNC connectors, reducing the number of tools installers have to carry. And because the kit is designed as a complete solution for each step of the install process, it can limit costly errors and training time.

Of course, with no parts to assemble, the one-piece connectors cut down prep time and give installers more time to spend on their installs. The connectors’ patented non-blind entry also allows installers to see the wire enter the pin at the base of the connector, ensuring that every connector delivers a secure signal.

As home systems become more sophisticated, demand grows for the accessories that support them. AAMP Home’s new DB Starter Kit provides a critical all-in-one connection system for faster, easier installs with far less maintenance and upkeep.
GMAHLAN Interface seamlessly integrates aftermarket head units into select late-model 2007 Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles with Bose® and OnStar®.

Clearwater, Florida, June 2007 – AAMP of America™, innovator in world-class automobile electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today its complete radio replacement OEM integration solution for select late-model GM vehicles. The solution seamlessly integrates aftermarket head units into 2006-2007 GM vehicles with Bose® and OnStar®.

The solution includes the GMAHLAN Bose and OnStar Interface from Peripheral Electronics®, AAMP’s innovative OEM Integration division. The interface lets 2006-2007 Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC owners replace their factory stereo without impacting their Bose and OnStar systems.

The GMAHLAN works with the 2006-2007 Buick Lucerne; 2007 Cadillac Escalade; 2006-2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, Impala, Monte Carlo, Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe; and 2007 GMC Sierra and Yukon.

In addition to keeping the original Bose and OnStar features and functions, the GMAHLAN retains all stereo and key car-safety features controlled by the system. These features include Retained Accessory Power (RAP), Vehicle Parking Assist (VPA), audible turn signals, and all factory seatbelt, key-in, and headlight warning chimes.

The GMAHLAN is equipped with a Smart Sense Mute feature that automatically mutes or shuts down aftermarket stereos when OnStar is being used. It also includes an antenna adaptor and works with Peripheral Electronics’ PESWI steering wheel control interfaces for aftermarket Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony, and many other radios. These interfaces retain the factory steering wheel controls when upgrading the factory head unit with an aftermarket radio.

Integrating the GMAHLAN also requires one of two dash kits from Best Kits and Harnesses™, AAMP of America’s premier mobile installation products division. The BKGMK264 and BKGMK317 dash kits allow for installations that include everything from single CD-players to more sophisticated systems with flip-out video screens—all while providing a perfect fit and finish with the GMAHLAN.

The BKGMK317 adapts aftermarket radios into the 2006-2007 Buick Lucerne; 2006-2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, Impala, Monte Carlo, Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe; and 2007 GMC Sierra and Yukon. The BKGMK264 works with the 2007 Cadillac Escalade.

As both a manufacturer and distributor, AAMP of America provides a single point of contact for the latest OEM Integration products. By offering a complete GMAHLAN solution, dealers can save valuable time and money and significantly improve their bottom line.

Additionally, with three warehouses, same-day shipping, and small minimum orders, AAMP of America prides itself on getting dealers the products they need right when they need them. Equally important is AAMP’s 24-7 online ordering system, allowing dealers to place orders any time of the day, any day of the week. Dealers can also use the system to check whether or not the inventory they need is in stock.

AAMP OF AMERICA™ CELEBRATES TWENTY YEARS OF INDUSTRY SERVICE

Original one-stop shop for 12-volt accessories emphasizes its continued commitment to customer service; future expansion of premier Stinger®, Peripheral Electronics®, Best Kits and Harnesses™, and Sound Quest™ brands; and strong focus on the emerging home audio market.

AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class automobile electronics design, development, and distribution, has announced its upcoming 20th anniversary in July 2007. The anniversary marks two decades of AAMP of America’s renowned customer service and commitment to 12-volt dealers and installers with its premier Stinger®, Peripheral Electronics®, Best Kits and Harnesses™, and Sound Quest Electronics™ brands.

Over the upcoming year, AAMP will celebrate the event by focusing on those installers, dealers, and retailers that have supported the company since its inception.

Micah Ansley founded the company in 1987 with a small loan from his parents, Gerald and Joyce Ansley. Drawing on his ten years of industry experience, Micah had one mission for AAMP: to be the one place where 12-volt dealers and installers went for the products they needed, and to get them those products with same-day shipping and top-notch customer service. To do this, AAMP opened three warehouses in the first two years—in Clearwater, Florida; Springfield, Missouri; and Las Vegas, Nevada—to ensure that customers throughout the U.S. received their orders no more than two days after placing them.

This commitment to customer service produced huge sales in the early 1990’s, and catapulted AAMP to number thirty-three on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing, privately-held companies in 1992 and again in 1993. Just as significant, in 1990 AAMP created Stinger and began manufacturing its own high-performance car audio accessories for the specialist market.

Starting with just a handful of items, Stinger now boasts more accessories than any car audio company with over 500 SKUs. Industry-first products like its hybrid capacitors, dry-cell batteries, and expandable fuse blocks have helped make Stinger the accessory of choice by car audio competitors worldwide. Since 1996, the company has won thirteen awards for its product designs, including the prestigious CES Innovations Award.

In the mid-90s, AAMP added Peripheral Electronics and Best Kits and Harnesses to develop products that interfaced aftermarket head units and other components with factory systems. While Peripheral Electronics focused on the interfacing technologies, Best Kits provided dash kits that covered a wide range of applications. These kits minimize the number of SKUs dealers have to order while allowing customers to replace their factory radios or CD changers without impacting the look and feel of their factory dash.

The first company to interface line output converters and CD changers with factory systems, Peripheral Electronics has pioneered OEM Integration with other industry-firsts like its Class 2 Databus and OnStar™ Interfaces. More recently, Peripheral Electronics has developed cutting-edge solutions for iPods and MP3 players, game systems, and Bluetooth phones—speaking directly to those consumers whose on-the-go lifestyle is driven by these popular mobile electronics devices.

Sound Quest Electronics, AAMP’s mobile audio and lighting accessories brand, also continues to play an important role in AAMP’s success. Its high-quality and inexpensive wiring, power management, and lighting products provide a critical tool for dealers looking for huge profit potential without increasing their costs.

For Micah Ansley, still the company’s President and CEO, AAMP’s 20th Anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate both past successes and future possibilities.

“We’ve accomplished a lot,” Ansley said, “and there’s still so much to do. As the industry changes, so do the needs of our customers—the dealers and small retailers, the installers. The bottom line is, we have to keep meeting those needs better and faster than our competitors.”

AAMP’s future plans include a strong focus on the emerging home audio market. As home systems become more sophisticated, demand grows for the powerful aftermarket accessories that support them. Already, AAMP of America Home® division has released a full line of new products for the custom home installer alongside its existing line of home speakers, wiring, cabling, and other accessories.

AAMP will also be launching breakthrough new Peripheral OEM integration products like its Automotive Multimedia Gateway. The gateway allows for connectivity for iPod™ and MP3 players as well as HD Radio and Bluetooth for hands-free cell phone and audio streaming. In addition to enabling full control of all aftermarket devices from the factory head unit, it also retains original system features such as satellite radio.

AAMP is also well underway with the expansion of its redefined and redeveloped Stinger PRO and HPM lines, the most powerful and extensive lines the company has ever created. Stunning aesthetic and technological modifications have been made to all Stinger PRO and HPM capacitors, interconnects, battery terminals, fuse holders and distribution blocks, and power and speaker wire. Stinger has also rolled out a new unified branding campaign that includes retail-friendly packaging and a dynamic, distinctively urban look and feel that speaks both to consumers and dealers.

New Best Kits dash kits are also continually being added, further evidence of AAMP’s longstanding commitment to the mobile audio accessories market. These kits include applications for late-model Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota vehicles.

Ansley acknowledges that ultimately the key to AAMP’s success is the superb customer service he envisioned for it twenty years ago. Today, this service includes same-day shipping from three warehouses and an online ordering system with 24-7 ordering and tracking, instant price and availability, up-to-the-minute account status, and access to past invoices for authorized users. In 2006, Mobile Electronics retailers recognized AAMP’s customer service by voting it the best of any mobile audio accessory company in the country.

Ryan Goeller, Vice President of Car Concepts—a specialist car audio dealer in Salt Lake City, Utah—agreed that AAMP’s customer service is second-to-none in the industry.

“We’ve sold certain AAMP of America products almost exclusively for over eight years,” Goeller said. “They’ve always gone above and beyond to get us whatever we need. And if there’s something they don’t have, they’ll get it for us. That kind of service shows tremendous loyalty to the single-outlet, independent retailer—loyalty that’s unsurpassed in the industry.”

Shawn Morrison, owner of Car Tunes in Clearwater, Florida, also believes that AAMP’s commitment to its customers has driven the company’s success. As AAMP’s first customer, Morrison said that that commitment is just as strong today as it was twenty years ago.

“AAMP has always been there when we need them,” said Morrison. “Whether they’re taking another order or answering a tough install question, they get it done with great service. And the fact that they’re a one-stop shop means fewer calls and less headaches. In the end, there’s no better partner than AAMP of America.”

Micah Ansley is also quick to point out the sixteen-year average tenure of AAMP’s salespeople, another distinction that sets it apart from its competitors. According to Ansley, this longevity has helped solidify the critical customer relationships that form the foundation of AAMP’s success.

“When we started, the sole focus was on getting our customers the products they needed and getting them there fast,” said Ansley. “Now, we’re their total business solution—designing the products, making the products, and shipping the products. We’ve done it with innovation and hard work. We’ve done it by dedicating ourselves to the industry. But in the end, it’s our customers—the thousands of them all over the world—that keep us going. We do everything we can to serve them at the highest possible level. It’s how it’s always been, and how it will always be.”

AAMP OF AMERICA™ ENJOYS TREMENDOUS SUCCESS WITH PREMIER PERIPHERAL® AND STINGER® BRANDS AT 2007 KNOWLEDGEFEST

http://aampofamerica.com/web/press/press_details_aamp.asp?ID=

Industry-leader gets strong response to first-ever Automotive Multimedia Gateway and new PRO/HPM lines and marine accessories.

Clearwater, Fl., April 2007 – AAMP of America™, innovators in world-class automobile electronics design, development, and distribution, announced today its tremendous success at the 2007 Mobile Enhancement Retailers Association (MERA) KnowledgeFest in Knoxville, Tennessee from March 17th through the 20th. AAMP of America showcased its first-ever Peripheral Electronics® Automotive Multimedia Gateway and new Stinger® PRO and HPM lines while turning an eye toward the emerging marine audio accessory aftermarket.

Peripheral Electronics focused on the future of OEM innovation with a display of the first-ever Automotive Multimedia Gateway. The gateway allows for connectivity for iPod™ and MP3 players as well as HD Radio™ and Bluetooth™ for hands-free cell phone and audio streaming. In addition to enabling full control of all aftermarket devices from the factory head unit, it also retains original system features such as satellite radio.

This versatile functionality allows the gateway to connect with most mobile electronics products, speaking directly to those consumers whose on-the-go lifestyle is driven by popular electronics products such as iPod and MP3 players. With the gateway, consumers finally have the one product they need to connect those and future products to an automobile’s multimedia system without affecting network integrity, look, and performance.

Peripheral Electronics also showcased several of the actual products that work with the gateway. These products include the preloaded iPod interface, HD Radio tuner module (HDRT), Bluetooth Hands-free and audio streaming module, and an auxiliary audio input module.

The iPod interface delivers seamless integration and works with all iPod versions. Users can control all their features from the factory stereo—tracking forward and back for songs and browsing by artist, playlist, genre, and album.

The HDRT module provides full HD Radio station control from the factory head unit through direct connectivity with the gateway. It retains the satellite radio function, enabling HD Radio station information to be displayed on the radio’s screen. It also becomes the default tuner for analog AM/FM stations.

The Bluetooth Hands-free and audio streaming module plugs directly into the gateway and links to a user’s cell phone. When calls come through, that call is fed directly through the factory sound system. It also enables audio-streaming using the Bluetooth A2DP profile, delivering exceptional sound from your audio device.

Along with the iPod interface and HD Radio and Bluetooth modules, the additional auxiliary audio input module can also connect popular media devices like game systems, satellite radio tuners, and portable DVD players.

Peripheral Electronics also showed the iSimple™ brand, a type of product packaging designed for the front-of-store retail environment. iSimple uses informative iconography, color-coded graphics, and easy-to-understand language to market select Peripheral Electronics OEM integration products that benefit from a simple style of storefront packaging.

By translating a product’s core purpose, functionality, and applications in a more user-friendly way, iSimple allows customers to shop for and understand select Peripheral Electronics products with less reliance on dealer assistance. This helps move products off the shelf and into the hands of consumers, improving sell-through and sales-floor navigation.

In addition to its marine accessories, Stinger showed its entirely redefined and redeveloped PRO and HPM Series interconnects, batteries, power wire, and fuse holders and distributors.

These PRO and HPM products reflect stunning aesthetic and technological modifications as part of the most powerful and extensive product lines in the industry. Stinger also showed its XPRT power wire for maximum power capability, easy installation, and unmatched space-saving efficiency.

Available in either a Gold or Shoc-Krome finish, the new PRO Series features double the products from the 2006 line—including Stinger’s revolutionary hybrid capacitors and an expanded line of Power2 batteries. This year’s all-digital HPM Series combines stylish angular housing and sleek chrome finishes with astounding high-current capability, true deep-cycle operation, and a remarkably fast recharge rate.

Stinger also featured its new unified branding campaign, including retail-friendly packaging and a dynamic, distinctively urban look and feel that speaks both to consumers and dealers. With Stinger interconnects, unique new packaging iconography easily communicates the features of the different models and how those models perform against each another.

Lastly, Stinger displayed its new products designed specifically for marine applications. Just as car and home audio have become more sophisticated in recent years, so have boat systems that require special waterproofed items. AAMP of America sees this as a great opportunity for 12-volt dealers to cash in on a growing trend toward marine audio customization.

Chris Cook, AAMP of America’s Director of Strategic Business, participated in a panel entitled, “Solving the New Car Dilemma: A Panel Discussion.” The panel focused on how best to integrate popular portable media devices into the advanced systems used in today’s automobiles. Cook was also a participant in MERA’s annual Town Hall Meeting, a lively discussion about consumer marketing that has become the cornerstone of the MERA KnowledgeFest.

Sergio DeOlivera, AAMP of America’s National Sales Manager, also participated in a panel about salesmanship best practices entitled, “Accessories: Are You Giving Them Away?”

“AAMP was one of the first companies to attend the MERA KnowledgeFest when it started over ten years ago,” said Ron Freeman, COO of AAMP of America. “It was important to our success then, and it’s critical to us now. It’s one of the best opportunities we have to connect with the independent retailers who support us, to show our commitment to them, and to learn from others in the industry. KnowledgeFest is simply invaluable.”

These PRO and HPM products reflect stunning aesthetic and technological modifications as part of the most powerful and extensive product lines in the industry. Stinger will also show its XPRT power wire for maximum power capability, easy installation, and unmatched space-saving efficiency.

Stinger will also feature its new unified branding campaign, including retail-friendly packaging and a dynamic, distinctively urban look and feel that speaks both to consumers and dealers. With Stinger interconnects, unique new packaging iconography easily communicates the features of the different models and how those models perform against each another.

Lastly, Stinger will display its new products designed specifically for marine applications. Just as car and home audio have become more sophisticated in recent years, so have boat systems that require special waterproofed items. AAMP of America sees this as a great opportunity for 12-volt dealers to cash in on a growing trend toward marine audio customization.

AAMP of America will also host a roundtable and workshop for dealers. The roundtable—entitled “Solving the New Car Dilemma: A Panel Discussion”—will focus on how best to integrate popular portable media devices into the advanced systems used in today’s automobiles. The workshop—entitled “Accessories: Are You Giving Them Away?”—will deal with salesmanship best practices. Both events are held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 17th.
